ERP Materials for Emetophobia:
This page contains exposure stimuli for those with emetophobia. It starts with words and moves onto videos. This can be completed using either ERP or set up as a behavioural experiment.
Guidance:
Start at the top and work through each category. At the end of each category, reflect on what the client has learnt about:
1) How these stimuli are safe to view.
2) How their anxiety comes down the longer they view the image because they realise it is safe.
3) How they can cope with anxiety rather than having to avoid it
4) How these types of triggers don’t need to be avoided in real life.
